It offers an incomparable golden finish that is thoroughly enhanced with abundant chocolate annual growth rings. Santos Mahogany will go well in any room of the home but is asking to be placed in the center of the sun so it can shine. It will age to a rich patina that is not found in lesser lumbers.
This hardwood flooring comes in planks that are 3-1/2 inches wide and range in length from 9 to 48 inches. It is engineered and is only 3/8 inches thick. Seams in the floor will disappear before your eyes as the edges and ends are beveled. Santos Mahogany can be installed with nails or glue and is ideal for use over a concrete subfloor. The urethane finish features a low gloss that is strengthened with the use of aluminum oxide.
